As part of the TESSA project, the Green Business Academy, led by Berytech, concluded in a closing ceremony where 20 SMEs had the unique opportunity to pitch their green business transition solutions. The juries, representing various sectors and expertise, evaluated each pitch, focusing on sustainability, innovation, and scalability.

To select the 10 SMEs that will proceed with Berytech for further tailored legal and financial assistance, the juries followed a thorough grading system set by Berytech, which included the following criteria:

  1. Triple Bottom Line (People – Planet – Profit): The project’s overall impact on society, the environment, and economic profitability.
  2. Roadmap: The clarity and feasibility of the project’s plan and timeline.
  3. Innovation and Creativity: The originality and innovative approach of the project.
  4. Scalability: The potential for the project to expand or be replicated.
  5. Viability – Feasibility of the Project: The practicality and likelihood of successful implementation.
  6. Employment: The project’s potential to generate local jobs.
  7. Commitment and Deliverables: The SME’s dedication to the project and ability to meet targets.

At the end of the event, 10 SMEs across five key sectors—Media, Healthcare, Food Processing, Pharmaceuticals, and Manufacturing—were selected. These SMEs will now benefit from Berytech’s tailored support.

In addition to Berytech’s selection, ICU, and after it’s own technical assessment, announced 8 selected SMEs that will benefit from equipment for their pilot project implementation.
