The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Zahle recently hosted the launch of a new Job Portal, an initiative under the TESSA project. This project, implemented by ICU and funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), supports Lebanon’s workforce and promotes sustainable development.

As part of TESSA, ICU selected three training centers, including the Chamber of Commerce of Zahle, to undergo strategic capacity building and economic support, enhancing their ability to design and deliver courses aligned with labor market demands and benefiting their network of companies and enterprises.

The Job Portal is a transformative tool designed to connect employers and job seekers. More than just a digital platform, it acts as a “bridge between opportunity and talent.” Its primary purpose is to link the region’s workforce with job opportunities, ensuring skills match market needs. The portal also provides access to specialized training programs offered by the Chamber. These programs, tailored to the specific needs of industries like agriculture, hospitality, and food processing, aim to prepare Zahle’s workforce for future challenges.

The launch event celebrated not only the Job Portal but also the broader objectives of the TESSA project; empowering workers, supporting unemployed individuals, and helping them integrate into the job market. By addressing labor market needs and enhancing local training centers, this initiative aims to drive long-term economic growth and stability in the region.

The Job Portal and the overall efforts of the TESSA project reflect a shared vision of sustainable development and economic empowerment. With these new opportunities, Lebanon’s  workforce is taking a significant step toward a brighter and more resilient future.
